Now that John Samuelsen Couldn’t Deliver lets Focus on Why

Normally TWU Local 100 has its Main Table negotiation a few months before the deadline however, sources say that their first actual meeting was held on Jan 9, 2012 and John Samuelsen did not attend but the meeting went forward without him. Was John Samuelsen nervous or was John Samuelsen Boycotting the meeting? Well as the meeting progressed they handed out their ridiculous demands. For the first time T.A offered a 5 yr contract 0,0,0,2% and 2%. Along with these ridiculous percentages they offered Part Time Bus Drivers, Restructuring of the Health Benefits (like if Useless Utano hasn’t made them bad enough} and drastic work rule changes.

Why, Well John Samuelsen did not give us the freedom of choice.

·      John Samuelsen did not give us the right to have a Strike Vote at the Mass Membership Meeting, which would have given us a bargaining chip.

·      The right to choose to change the dead line.

·      Did not take a course of action, which showed T.A how WEAK John Samuelsen and his administration are!

One thing we can all agree on, if you let a bully take your position he will continue to do so until you take ACTION!
