November 29, 2010 Local 100 Executive Board authorizes $$ move Funds shifted from Building Fund into COPE Ever look at your paycheck lately? Look carefully at the area with all the taxes, Union dues, solidarity tax, and of course the COPE arm twisting, that’s right COPE. The fund we are supposed to voluntarily donate to, the fund used to wine and dine those politicians that did not give a rat's ass about your layoffs! The same fund that’s hoarded like the fabled golden goose tales of childhood tales by the $102,000 man of the year,Local 100 PAC Director Vernon Thorpe That’s the same fund Tony Utano and his boys from Johnny's MOW department twisted and turned trying to your former Treasurer, Israel Rivera to donate $$ to a NJ Politician from. That’s right again, Duane McMenamie's golfing buddy. When I was illegally locked out of office on Sept 19, 2010, that fund had about $175,000 in it. Along comes the Nov 29, 2010 E-Board meeting and slick Johnny cries to our E-Board that he needs $96,000 to cover the COPE fund cause its empty. Wow...you spent all that money Johnny? You and the puppets are just sacking the building fund just out right! I suppose it’s OK, after all, Administrative Vice President Angel Giboyeaux does not have the slightest pair needed to even think of telling Samuelsen to take a hike and refuse to sign that check. Demand a full accounting of COPE fund. Oh my, just wait until the Asbestos removal bills for the new Brooklyn property start coming in... we all might need to get part-time jobs at Pathmark to cover the cost. |
