Members Rebuilding TWU
The Samuelsen Administration has a flyer out proudly proclaiming the re-hiring of most of the Station Agents either as Agents or as Cleaners.
The question is…. why do they believe this is something to brag about?!?!?!!!!
They have the nerve to call this reinstatement a “major victory”!
What it means is that if Samuelsen had done his job and tried to talk to his counterpart when they were threatening the most massive layoffs this union ever suffered perhaps it could have been averted!
What it means is that 450 Station Agents were unnecessarily laid off and suffered since May 11,2010 and August 13, 2010.
What it means is that our members were out there for either five or eight months FOR NO REASON!
What it means is that Samuelsen is incapable of negotiating with management on any intelligent, reasonable, responsible level.
What it means is that we should be very nervous about the 2012 contract negotiations.
But why worry about the 2012 contract when the 2009 contract remains UNRESOLVED?????!!!!!!!

Hey Charlie what did YOU do for any of the lay-off people? Same thing you did when you were appointed by Roger to be MOW boss....NOTHING.
